Reading by Kurt Andersen
Pratt Institute’s Writers’ Forum will host the Annual Michael Mahoney Memorial Reading, given by Kurt Andersen. The event honors the memory of writing major Michael M. Mahoney, a gifted student who died in summer 2003.
Kurt Andersen is the author of two novels, the critically acclaimed bestsellers Heyday (Random House, 2007) and Turn of the Century (Delta, 2000) as well as two non-fiction books Reset (Random House, 2009) and The Real Thing (Bison Books, 2008). Random House will publish his next novel, Trust Me, this summer. Andersen writes short fiction, screenplays, TV pilots, and work for the theater as well as books, and is currently creative consultant to the forthcoming Broadway musical about escape artist Harry Houdini starring Hugh Jackman. His Peabody Award-winning public radio program Studio 360, which he hosts and co-created, is broadcast on more than 160 stations.
Writers' Forum is Pratt Institute's bi-weekly reading series and discussion seminar for the Writing Program. For more information on the series, click here.
